Summer vacations have started and are in full swing and so is the sweltering heat in Delhi/NCR. People are either staying indoors with their ACs on (contributing more to the heat wave) or they are out in the open at the Water Parks that offer them some respite from the scorching May heat. And one such water park or even more interesting than the ones already existing in the city is the Worlds of Wonder Water Park – waves of excitement awaits here.
Spread over 10 acres of land, the Worlds of Wonder Water Park offers 23 attractions to its visitors. However Wave Pool is its star attraction. (More about Wave Pool in the next post).
The Design
Anyway talking about the Worlds of Water Park, the Park boasts of international standards of attractions and is renowned for launching numerous firsts in the entertainment field. Some other prominent attractions at the Park includes Lazy River – the longest one in the country at 365 metres long, Turbo, Tunnel, Rapid and Free Fall Boomerang, Raft Ride, Splash Safari, Rip Curl, Rip Tide and last but definitely not the least swim-up Pool Bar.
Zones
The Park has been segregated into four distinctive zones for easy traversing and selection of attractions. Here are the four zones, whence you can choose which attraction you would like to try first.
Zone 1 or Tower 1 offers free fall, Rapid Racer and Turbo Tunnel
Zone 2 or Tower 2 has Raft Ride, Boomerango, Rip Curl and Rid Tide
Zone 3 or Tower 3 comprises Big Splash and Deep Sea Explorer
Zone 4 or Tower 4 offers a Wave Pool and a 365 metre Lazy River
Events and other attractions
If you thought that the World of Wonder Water Park is all about water sports you were right in a way. But there is more to just water sports at the Park and it is the scintillating performances by Synchronised Swimmers Group from Europe – Aqua Sensation. Every day except Tuesday enjoy the visual treat by these skilled gymnasts, as they perform live shows at the Water Park. After enchanting spectators in countries like France, China, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and many more, they are mesmerising their audience in India. The team represents some of the highest calibre synchronised swimmers and aquatic gymnasts – the perfect combination of elegance, grace, beauty, and fierce athleticism.
As if all this was not enough reason to visit the park, the Park also have an on-going music carnival – the Super Weekend – with celebrity DJs every Saturday and Sunday. So far, DJ Rink, DJ Akhtar and DJ NYK have wooed the audiences to their foot-tapping beats. The DJs perform at the Water Park’s star charm – the Wave Pool, every Saturday and Sunday between 1500 hrs and 1900 hrs. The forthcoming weekends will see DJ Aqeel, DJ Suketu, DJ Akbar Sami, DJ Nikhil Chinapa, DJ Chetas and many more performing at the Super Weekend, spread over 10 Weekends.
Worlds of Wonder Amusement Park:
Added to the attraction of the water park is the Amusement Park, which is spread over 20 acres of land and offers 21 world class attractions. It is segregated in two entertainment zones – The Road Show – the teen zone and La Fiesta – the family zone. Road show is meant for adventure lovers has nine thrilling rides. La Fiesta meant for family and kids comprises 10 rides. All rides at the WOW Amusement Park are certified for safety by TÜV NORD, a German certifying body. It also comprises the largest manmade lake in the entire NCR region.
