You are tourist planning to visit Agra or Jaipur with just a stopover at Delhi because you think there is nothing worthwhile to explore in the city? All those who think that there is nothing to do or see in Delhi has either read the history or never have bothered to look beyond the surface of Delhi. Why? The reason could be lack of valuable information – whatever information one gets from the Internet is just about one part of the Delhi – the posh side of it.

But believe me there is definitely more to Delhi than just glitzy malls, and fast-paced cars and zooming metros. Delhi has an amazing history, with its historical monuments, art galleries, heritage buildings. Question is if there is so much more then why do tourists (both international and domestic) overlook this beautiful and historically rich city? The answer is as simple as the question – lack of proper information and this is where our new mobile app – DELHIPEDIA comes in.

With technology advancing people have become more Internet savvy and use their smart phones to browse people becoming more internet savvy and cashing on that trend is Twenty Four Frames Films, a Media Production House of young techies who have launched a mobile phone app called ‘DELHIPEDIA’. DELHIPEDIA is your one stop storehouse of anything and everything in Delhi – from its heritage monuments, crowd-happy bazaars, thriving cultural scene and platefuls of scrumptious food that binds all Delhiites together. The app will also let you plan your weekend in advance with it’s in depth information of what’s happening where.

Talking about the app, Arjun Pandey – one of the core members from DELHIPEDIA says, “DELHIPEDIA is a youtube channel and a digital magazine that would bring alive the true essence of Delhi and its magnificent culture. In a way DELHIPEDIA is an audio-visual encyclopaedia about the city and its hidden gems and unexplored sites.”

He further says that by downloading the app DELHIPEDIA one would get a one stop solution on anything and everything for anyone visiting the city either for the first time or a second time. “The application is an eye catcher and a visual library for those who are on the lookout for new things,” says Mr Pandey.

27slide1Another legend bids adieus to the world of mortals to become one with the Immortal Almighty and as all the fans, friends and family are grieving for the loss, imagine the spirit of firebrand Zohra Sehgal taking in all this drama in her stride and wondering what the fuss is all about. “I came to this world for a designated period of time and now when that time is over I am leaving this world for another one.” Well she was a candid person never missing an opportunity to amuse those around her.

Born as Sahibzadi Zohra Begum Mumtaz-ullah Khan on 27 April 1912 into a traditional Muslim family in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, to Mumtazullah Khan and Natiqua Begum, this fire-brand actress belonged to a Rohilla Pathan family of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Third in the row of seven children – Zakullah, Hajrah, Ikramullah, Uzra (Uzra Butt), Anna and Sabira – and grew up in Chakrata, now in Uttarakhand (near Dehradun), Zohra was a tomboy fond of climbing trees and playing games. Zohra lost vision in her left eye as she contracted glaucoma at the age of one year; she was referred to a hospital in Birmingham where she was treated at a cost of £300.E47_Zohra-Sehgal-and-amitabh-bachchan

Today (10th July 2014), two years post her centurion birthday she bids adieus to us and left for heavenly abode. May her soul Rest in Peace. But then as is rightly said legends never die they live forever in our memories so shall you (Ms Sehgal) be alive always and forever in our loving hearts and memories.
